Ras Raj Foundation, in association with Pracheen Kala Kendra is going to organize a unique blend of Indian Classical Dances featuring artists from 5 countries who are eminent names in themselves. The two-day event which will be taking place on Friday, 20th December and Saturday, 21st December is being hosted at Triveni Kala Sangam, Mandi House, at the heart of the Capital.
Nritya Rang will spread its colors of multi-national Dance extravaganza on Friday, 20th December, with the event kicking off with the dance recital of Smt Sharmila Sharma, who is based in France. The evening will then be followed by performances of Sh Deodatt Persaud from Germany and celebrated exponent Smt Durga Arya hailing from Germany.
The second day will feature dance presentations of Sh Dumitha Gunawardana, based in Sri Lanka, young sensation Kumari Aamrapali Bhandari from Singapore will then present her performance. Nritya Rang's penultimate performance will feature Singapore based Sh Afsar Khan. And finally, to conclude the event, USA based Smt Shambhavi Dandekar will produce her magic on stage.
The event will be studded with colorful performances by noted artists and will be attended by illustrious Kathak exponent Pt. Rajendra Gangani and SNA Awardee Kathak Danseuse Guru Dr Shobha Koser (Registrar, Pracheen Kala Kendra) among numerous other dignitaries and critics, and dance enthusiasts alike.
The event will be yet another attempt to bring great performers on one stage and providing hope to unite us all together and spread the popularity of Indian Classical Dance and therefore the arts in general which has been the primary goal of Pracheen Kala Kendra, headquartered in Chandigarh, which is dedicated to the preservation promotion and dissemination of Indian Classical Music Dance and Arts since 1956 and organize concerts at various levels pan India.
The two-day event will be followed by Pracheen Kala Kendra's 14th Quarterly Baithak under the 'Legends of Tomorrow' series featuring Odissi Dance Recital by Sh Madhur Gupta and Vocal Recital by Smt Anisha Ray, who will be accompanied by Sh Durjay Bhoumik (Tabla) and Smt Paromita Mukherjee (Harmonium) on Sunday, 22nd December 2019
